How I organized my nail polish box

This post is just going to be about how I organized my nail polish box. Even though it’s not super organized, I can actually find things now, and to tell the truth, I think that the after looks a lot better than the before. 😉

Obviously my nail polish box wasn’t super clean: 😀 (don’t ask, because I don’t know)

And the inside wasn’t much better:

I started out by taking EVERYTHING out of the box and throwing it into a pile on the floor:

Dumped out this leftover glittery stuff into a garbage can:

Got out a bunch of cotton pads, soaked them in nail polish remover and scrubbed. Hard. (It took a lot of scrubbing before it actually came off, so if you do this and it doesn’t seem to be coming off, it will, it just takes a little while)

This is what it looked like after about 5 minutes of scrubbing:

Altogether, it took about 10-12 minutes to get most of the nail polish off. It never got all the way off, though it looks a lot better:

Now, back to the pile…

I separated the nail polish, supplies, and garbage into 3 different piles:

I had this little blue basket perfect for storage:

So I used it by putting my nail supplies into it:

For the small things (toothpicks) I used a tiny resealable bag:

I put the blue basket into the nail polish box and neatly lined up the nail polishes. As you can probably tell, there wasn’t quite enough room in my box, so I put some of my bottles of polish into the blue basket:
