Since this is the first crochet post, I’ll start with what supplies you’ll need, and I’ll show you a common way to hold your yarn.
Supplies you’ll need
•Yarn, because, well, it’s kinda hard to crochet without it.
•Crochet hook, for the same reason you need yarn.
•Scissors, to cut the yarn after your done with a project.
•Yarn/tapestry needle,(I just use an embroidery needle) to weave in ends after your finished with a project.
Other things for crochet aren’t really necessities, unless your doing amigurumi or some other project that requires more.(such as: buttons, Velcro, zippers, thread, etc)
How to hold your yarn
• First, take your yarn over your pinky. (going backward)
• Then, take your yarn over the front of your hand and hang it around your pointer finger.
• The third picture shows what your hand should look like while your crocheting.
Sorry if that was confusing for you. This will be the end of my post, come back next Thursday for another crochet “lesson”.
